Here’s the formula for every new theory.
Nothing seems to be an accident in George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire. Though the writing on the show has gotten lazy the last two seasons, the author crafted his books over decades with the utmost care and attention to detail. That’s probably why it takes him a million years to write them! There have been hints in names, in prophecies, even in interviews that point to Martin’s end game. There also have been clues in how people die in this show—which happens very often!
One Reddit user noticed a pattern to how many major deaths on the show were foreshadowed:
No arguments here. That’s a pretty solid list. But, in the comments, other Reddit users found, even more, examples of this pattern.
That’s pretty goddamn consistent, George R.R. Martin!
This provides a pretty reliable formula to use to predict how other major characters could die in the upcoming final season.
Daenerys has executed many people with her dragons. Maybe she’ll be killed by the Night King’s ice dragon.
Tyrion killed his father with a crossbow. Maybe he’ll get killed by a crossbow.
Cersei killed a bunch of people by blowing them up. Maybe she’ll get blown up.
Samwell Tarly killed a White Walker. Maybe he’ll get killed by a White Walker.
And in the end, dear sweet Pod will be the only one left alive, happily baking with Hot Pie.
